and ThinkProgress report Pete Hoekstra was the only US Representative from Michigan not to vote on today’s unemployment extension vote. He was busy attending a fundraiser in Muskegon.

This is yet another example of Pete putting personal gain ahead of his Representative responsibilities. Followers of this blog may recall our post from March, “What about your Day Job?”

This issue seems particularly relevant since Michigan has the second-highest unemployment rate in the country at 13.6%.

By the way, the bill to extend unemployment benefits for four months passed in the House with bipartisan support.
